«Chapultepec Forest: Nature and Culture» project to be inaugurated in summer 2024 / @lopezobrador_ @GobiernoMX >>>

#GobiernoDeMéxico.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador supervised the rehabilitation and expansion of Chapultepec Forest, which will include the Fourth Section to be inaugurated in the first half of 2024.

The work is 85 percent complete and required an investment of 10 billion pesos, explained the president on his social networks.

He highlighted that artist Gabriel Orozco Félix, creative coordinator of the project «Bosque de Chapultepec: Nature and Culture», has managed to integrate the 800 hectares that begin at the Los Pinos Cultural Complex into an emblematic site.

«There will be art schools, another National Cinematheque and museums for the enjoyment of all citizens and especially for those who live in the town of Santa Fe that Tata Vasco founded,» said the chief executive in the publication.

Accompanied by Dr. Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller, he cut the inaugural ribbon on the remodeled services building of the Dolores Pantheon.

The Secretary of Culture, Alejandra Frausto Guerrero, recalled that it is the most important and largest in Mexico; the works dignify the space and the memorial walk.

Also participating in the ceremony were the head of the Mexico City Government, Martí Batres Guadarrama and his wife Daniela Cordero Arenas; the Secretary of Culture, Alejandra Frausto Guerrero; the Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation, Jorge Nuño Lara; the creative coordinator of the project, Gabriel Orozco Félix; the Undersecretary of Culture of the Secretariat of Culture of the Mexico City Government, Marina Núñez Bespalova; the Commander of the First Military Region, General Ernesto José Zapata Pérez; the Secretary of Environment of the Mexico City Government, Marina Robles García; and the Secretary of Works and Services of the Mexico City Government, Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina.
