#Ecatepec, #Edoméx.- Fernando Vilchis Contreras, municipal president of Ecatepec, announced the implementation of Project Jaguar 2.0, which includes the installation of two thousand ultra high definition video surveillance cameras, road arches and panic buttons.

With this, Ecatepec is at the forefront nationally in the use of technology to combat crime.

The mayor informed that representatives from different sectors of society joined the crusade, whose objective is to prevent organized crime from entering the municipality and to combat crimes that affect the population.

«Ecatepec is not going to make a pact, nor has it ever made a pact, nor will it make a pact with criminal groups; I regret very much, in a very sensible way, that while we close the door to these groups, there are those who seek to open the door to them by all means,» he emphasized.

«We want peace, because we want tranquility, because we want to continue delivering good results and because the citizens have joined these great efforts. From today I draw my line with those who want to make pacts with criminals, with those who want to open up to them using politics as a tool, as a vehicle of access to what the population does not want today,» said Vilchis Contreras.

«We are not going to bend, we will continue to set the standard in terms of security even if some institutions do not like it, because peace and tranquility is what our neighbors deserve,» concluded the mayor.
