#SanMiguelDeAllende.- The Municipal Presidency reaffirmed its commitment to generate awareness for the promotion of gender equality and integral development, by recognizing the value of San Miguel’s women.

In the framework of Women’s Day and through the Municipal Institute of Attention to Women (IMAM), the Municipal Government continues to support the empowerment and welfare of women, through educational activities that strengthen their personal, family and social role, to improve their quality of life by promoting their overall health.

Through the forum «Las Mujeres Tenemos Historia» (Women Have History), a space was opened to provide tools, knowledge and resources that allow the women of San Miguel to continue advancing in their lives; these events are a space where the exchange of ideas, the acquisition of skills and the empowerment of women are encouraged.

During this space for dialogue, life stories of exemplary women were presented, which allowed more than 100 women in attendance to acquire knowledge and learning that will help them in their empowerment.

Also, on the same day, the activity «My Story in Art» was held on the esplanade of El Chorro, a space to raise awareness of their inclusion and integral health through artistic expressions.
