Secretariat of the Comptroller’s Office recognizes best practices in the application of public funds / @Edomex >>>
#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Secretariat of the Comptrollership of the Government of the State of Mexico invites citizens to participate in the XVI edition of the State Award for Social Comptrollership 2024, with the objective of recognizing the best practices in the monitoring of public resources applied in social works and programs.
The call for the contest establishes that citizen control and surveillance committees, civil society organizations, as well as the general population may register in two categories:
Actions of the committees: aimed at proposals for improvement in the activities of organization, follow-up, supervision and oversight of social programs, works, procedures or services that are executed with federal, state or municipal public resources.
Actions for citizen oversight in public management: Aimed at experiences and/or proposals for improvement related to citizen oversight in public management, promoting citizen participation, transparency, accountability and the fight against corruption.
The jury will be composed of experts in the field, and the three best works in each category will be awarded: first place with 15 thousand pesos, second place with 10 thousand pesos, and third place with 5 thousand pesos, in addition to a recognition for all of them.
The results will be published at: https://portal.secogem.gob.mx/ next August. The award ceremony will be held on the date and place determined by the Secretariat of the Comptroller’s Office. The first place winners in both categories will participate in the XVI National Social Comptrollership Award 2024.
Entries are free of charge and will be received until July 26th of this year, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 to 18:00 hours, both at the General Directorate of Comptrollership and Social Evaluation of the Secretariat of the Comptroller’s Office, as well as at the offices of the seven regional delegations of Social Comptrollership and Citizen Attention of the agency.
