SICT head oversees progress of the new Real del Monte-Huasca junction in Hidalgo / @SICT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation, Jorge Nuño Lara, supervised the construction progress of the new Real del Monte-Entronque Huasca section, in the state of Hidalgo, which will be part of the Pachuca-Huejutla highway.

He stated that the Real del Monte-Huasca section is 76% complete and 5,084 million pesos have been invested. It will have a total length of 10 kilometers, which includes: 2 overpasses, 6 viaducts, 3 tunnels and 2 vehicular underpasses.

Accompanied by the Undersecretary of Infrastructure, Jesús Felipe Verdugo López and the Director of the SICT Hidalgo Center, Ernesto Jáuregui Asomoza, he emphasized that the Vicente Guerrero tunnel, built in only two years, is a key project that will have 4 lanes and will be the longest in the toll-free federal highway network.

It involves the construction of a new body of 9.8 kilometers (5.34 km of trunk road and 4.46 km in the development of structures) with four lanes of traffic (two in each direction).

It would benefit a population of 42,000 inhabitants of the municipalities of Mineral del Monte, Omitlán de Juárez and Huasca de Ocampo; and the work has generated around 13,277 direct jobs and 53,110 indirect jobs.
