Lerma Industrial Zone resumes operations after heavy rains / @Edomex >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- In an immediate response to the Lerma Industrial Zone, affected by heavy rains, the Delfina Gómez administration carried out dredging, pumping, and cleanup operations under the supervision of José Arnulfo Silva Adaya, Secretary of Water; Jesús George Zamora, Legal Counsel; and Miguel Ángel Ramírez Ponce, Mayor of Lerma. These efforts allowed the resumption of activities in the industrial park.

The efforts were primarily deployed on Avenida de las Partidas, where significant water accumulation was recorded, with the support of Vactor-type units, extraction pumps, and technical personnel from the Secretariats of Water, Rural Affairs, the National Water Commission (Conagua), the General Coordination of Civil Protection and Comprehensive Risk Management, the Water Commission of the State of Mexico (CAEM), as well as Civil Protection and Firefighters, and the utility OPDAPAS Lerma.

Jesús George Zamora, Legal Counsel and Commissioner of Region 16, conducted a technical inspection of the Lerma River channel, with the goal of preparing a preventive assessment to control the water level and prevent flooding in the community of San Pedro Tultepec.

“We would like to express our deep gratitude to the Governor of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gómez Álvarez, for always being very attentive to the work we are doing as a municipality, but also for the State Government’s support, sending us teams that are working, the machinery they also sent us, and the Vactor trucks that the State Government sent us. This allows us, working as a team, to provide a quick and efficient solution to this flooding issue we experienced in the industrial park,” emphasized Miguel Ángel Ramírez, Mayor of Lerma.

Previously, in the municipality of Ocoyoacac, the Legal Counsel, along with Municipal President Nancy Valdez Ruiz, supervised containment and channeling work at critical points such as Cárcamo Rústico, San Antonio el Llanito, La Trompadera, and Atlixco de las Flores.

An emergency monitoring group is also being held with the municipal presidents of Region 16, which includes Atizapán, Capulhuac, Chapultepec, Lerma, Ocoyoacac, San Antonio la Isla, Texcalyacac, Tianguistenco, and Xalatlaco.

These actions are part of the strategy instructed by Professor Delfina Gómez Álvarez, who instructed the members of the Legal and Expanded Cabinet to personally address the needs of the municipalities in order to ensure a timely response and effective solutions to the needs of each affected area.
