In Tecámac, the new City of Knowledge is being built; more than 150 works and actions are being carried out in favor of education

#TecámacDeFelipeVillanueva, #EstadoDeMéxico. – Mayoress Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante, emphasized that her government strengthens the education sector, so that Tecámac becomes the new «City of Knowledge», which provides opportunity and development to young people.

While attending the delivery of two classrooms and equipment to the Centro de Bachillerato Tecnológico (CBT) No. 3, in the community of Santa María Ozumbilla and leading the Civic Ceremony of honoring the patriotic symbols, the mayor stressed that during her past administration 150 works and actions were carried out in schools of all levels «Investing in education is investing in the future of Mexico and that is why we have not spared resources or efforts».

Accompanied by the members of the City Council, she mentioned that these two classrooms and equipment had an investment of more than one million 400 thousand pesos, and committed to the director of CBT No. 3, Edgar Domingo Martinez Cruz, members of the Parents Association and students, to build a second level to install a nursing workshop, which will provide another option for professional development for young people.

Gutiérrez Escalante highlighted that Tecámac is on the way to becoming the new «City of Knowledge», since during his administration, the second vocational school in the State of Mexico of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) was installed in the municipal territory, as well as the consolidation of the project for the construction of the second Conalep campus, which will have an Aeronautics Research Center, so that young people will be prepared for the arrival of the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA).

She urged, to continue working -society and government- to consolidate the transformation of the municipality «We have worked together, this is the only way that the transformation of our country will take place. Things don’t happen by wishing for them, they happen by acting, by getting closer, by being decisive, as society used to be; it used to participate in each of the works or actions, this has stopped being done in the last decades», she said.
