UAEM is a benchmark of excellence and educational quality

#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM) celebrated its 194th anniversary of being a benchmark of excellence and educational quality.

«194 years ago, with a humanist vocation, scientific commitment and the conviction of making knowledge a lever for development, an avant-garde institution was born, guardian of tradition and symbol of modernism in the State of Mexico,» said the Governor of the State of Mexico.

Attending the event for the first year of activities of the Rector of the UAEM, the Governor of the State of Mexico indicated that the COVID-19 pandemic generated new challenges in universities that will be decisive for the future of education.

«The pandemic brought to universities new challenges and also opportunities, whose attention will be decisive for the future of education,» he said.

He explained that social and economic digitalization advanced exponentially during the last two years, which generated the transformation of the educational environment and the labor market, and prompted research with a social sense, which addresses in a balanced way the need to update the skills of the workforce, innovate in the productive sector and develop new digital training models.
