AEM invites to participate in NASA’s International Competition «CINESPACE 2022»

#SecretaríaDeInfraestructuraComunicacionesYTransporte.- The Mexican Space Agency (AEM), a decentralized agency of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT), invites filmmakers from Mexico to the international competition «CineSpace 2022», organized by NASA and the Houston Cinema and Arts Society.

This short film production contest has been a valuable opportunity to showcase Mexico’s talent, as in two previous editions our creators have managed to be winners.

In 2017, multi-awarded Mexican filmmaker Alex Moreno was one of the five winners in the different categories of «CineSpace 2017», prevailing among almost 700 competitors from 55 countries around the world, with the short film «Apizaco».

Similarly, in 2018, the jury headed by Oscar-nominated film director Richard Linklater determined that the short film that best represented innovation and inclusion in science and technology was «Juanita», by the talented Mexican Elena Franco.

The «CineSpace» contest awards ceremony has been held in privileged venues such as the Contemporary Arts Museum, and its prestige continues to grow steadily, with special guests and celebrities such as Isabella Rossellini and Robert Redford, among others.
