Tecámac, seat of knowledge in the Valley of Mexico

#Tecámac, #StateOfMexico. – The mayoress Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante, reported that 15 percent of the population of Tecámac, does not have a certificate of basic education, so she proposed to implement a municipal journey against illiteracy, to reduce this educational backwardness.

At the signing of the commodatum agreement of the new facilities between the Tecámac City Hall and the National Council for the Promotion of Education (#CONAFE), which will be the new training headquarters of educational figures of the Valley of Mexico, the mayor mentioned that about 4,400 people, equivalent to 15 percent of the inhabitants of the municipality, do not have an official document that supports their primary or secondary education.

Therefore, she proposed that this municipal day against illiteracy be held in the facilities of public libraries, community development centers, houses of culture and the elderly, and become points of the National Institute of Education for Adults (#INEA), to provide classes to those interested and abate this educational backwardness.
