ONU agency trains municipal police of Guanajuato

#Guanajuato, #Gto. – The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (#UNODC) in Mexico began a training program for members of the Secretariat of Citizen Security, as part of the ongoing training received by municipal police officers in Guanajuato.

This is the first time that an agency of the United Nations (UN) has trained police officers from Guanajuato and it is one of only three municipalities in the state to receive the training.

The Municipal President of Guanajuato, Alejandro Navarro, recognized the elements that are enrolled in the training and thanked the effort of all the people of the Secretariat of Citizen Security for keeping the state capital among the safest cities.

«I thank you for your time, I thank you for all the effort you make,» reiterated Alejandro Navarro as he recalled that during his government he has worked as never before in the professionalization of the elements of the Preventive Police and with the creation of specialized groups such as the Gender Police, the Environmental Police and the Rural Police.
