SICT presents Velázquez Tiscareño to the country’s Aeronautical Industry

#SecretaríaDeInfraestructuraComunicacionesYTransporte.- The Undersecretary of Transportation, Rogelio Jiménez Pons, formally introduced the new General Director of Mexico City’s Benito Juárez International Airport (AICM), retired Airline Pilot Carlos Velázquez Tiscareño, to the main representatives of the Mexican aviation industry.

The Undersecretary of Transportation assured that the new director of the AICM is a person with sufficient experience to manage and face the problems at the Mexico City International Airport, after more than 40 years in the sector.

Jimenez Pons emphasized that the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT) works hand in hand with the aviation industry, so «we welcome him and reiterate that he can count on us, in order to make common cause to solve any problems that may arise».

Carlos Velázquez Tiscareño, general director of the AICM, assured that with his arrival the Mexico City International Airport will not be militarized, nor is there any intention to make it fail. He also said he is aware that it is a civilian facility and that its work must be for the benefit of civil society.
