Governor of Querétaro meets with Mexican Ambassador to the United Kingdom

#GobiernoDelEstadoDeQuerétaro.- The governor, Mauricio Kuri González, held a working meeting with the Mexican Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Josefa González – Blanco Ortiz Mena, in order to consolidate and strengthen inter-institutional relations between both nations, as well as to identify areas of opportunity and cooperation in educational, environmental and cultural matters.

They also discussed the strengthening of Querétaro’s private sector within the Trade Continuity Agreement, which allows preferential Mexican access to the British market in the event of the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union.

During the diplomatic meeting they reviewed the initiatives of the Embassy to promote Mexico in the United Kingdom and proposed ways to collaborate to promote the economic and cultural sector of Querétaro through the Embassy.

It should be noted that Mexico and the United Kingdom have maintained diplomatic relations since 1826. The United Kingdom was the first European power to recognize Mexico as an independent country, willing to conduct business and bilateral trade with our country.
