CAEM recovers close to 1,500 liters of potable water per second with the repair of leaks

#EstadoDeMéxico.- With the repair of nearly 400 leaks in the state’s hydraulic infrastructure so far in the current administration, the Government of the State of Mexico, through the State Water Commission (CAEM), has recovered almost 1,500 liters of drinking water per second, equivalent to filling 120 750-liter water tanks in one minute.

By monitoring and verifying the optimal functioning of the state’s drinking water distribution lines, the CAEM has detected and dealt with runoffs quickly and in a timely manner, benefiting more than 118,000 families in 34 municipalities.

During the first four months of this year, the Commission has recovered 140.5 liters per second with the repair of 37 leaks in 13 districts.

The CAEM continues to carry out activities for the rehabilitation, repair and expansion of the state’s hydraulic network in order to promote its efficient use and integrated management for the benefit of the state’s inhabitants.
