Canal 22 premieres the special program » The Greatness of Mexico, a millenary journey through our history»

#SecretaríaDeCultura.- The Ministry of Culture of the Government of Mexico, through Channel 22, presents the program «La grandeza de México, un viaje milenario por nuestra historia», a production that invites to an exciting tour through the National Museum of Anthropology of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) that houses the homonymous exhibition, which displays a selection of pieces never seen before from collections of the Republic and precincts from different parts of the world.

In this production, the national coordinator of Museums and Exhibitions of the INAH, Juan Manuel Garibay López, makes an agile and entertaining exploration through some of the most important pieces of the exhibition, among them: Chicomecóatl, the imposing goddess of ripe corn; figures of marakames, priests of the Wixárika culture; fascinating contemporary textiles that recreate traditions such as the flying stick; the meteorite that fell in San Luis Potosí and ended up in a museum in Paris; or the famous painting La espina, by Raúl Anguiano, among other objects that portray the range of national identities.

The production also includes the participation of INAH Director General, Diego Prieto Hernández, who refers to the historical processes that gave rise to the exhibition, as well as the archeological and historical goods that Mexico has repatriated and are part of the show.
