#ISSSTE. – With the support of the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (Issste), the Fondo de la Vivienda (Fovissste) will provide alternatives to grant quality housing and address the economic reality of people with debts.

In this sense, the general director of Issste, Pedro Zenteno Santaella, highlighted that in addition to the strengthening and transformation of health services, there is a joint work with Fovissste to implement new actions with an integral vision and tailor-made solutions in the credit, settlement and deed program. «We want housing with a greater social dimension, as a right, not as a commodity,» he pointed out at the conference on the progress report on the National Housing Policy.

Fovissste’s executive spokesman, César Buenrostro Moreno, emphasized the importance of improving credit products to be able to really focus on the current reality, the reality of the worker.

«If there is a need to make any deductions, they would be applied; in some extreme cases we would be doing socioeconomic studies and we are working on an agreement with the School of Social Work of the UNAM so that they can support us.»

Buenrostro Moreno detailed that in the last quarter of the year a pilot program will be launched where five thousand peso credits will be granted. In addition, at the end of August, the Customized Solution program will be launched, which will provide a specific alternative for each person, «the solutions must be one by one, there cannot be a general solution, we must go worker by worker,» he said.
