#Tecámac, #Edoméx.– Tecámac will be the only venue in the State of Mexico for the IPN ONCE K 2022 «Únete al Reto, Rompe Fronteras» (Join the Challenge, Break Frontiers) race, in which close to a thousand competitors will participate in both male and female categories, where athletes will be able to enjoy the facilities of the Sierra Hermosa ecological and sports park.

The Municipal President of Tecámac, Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante, thanked the authorities of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) for designating Tecámac as one of the venues where the competition will take place on the 86th anniversary of its foundation.

She highlighted that this sporting event will be held in Cajeme, Campeche, Cancun, Mexico City, Ciudad Juarez, Culiacan, La Paz, Los Mochis, Mazatlan, Morelia, Oaxaca, Pachuca and Tecamac, which, she emphasized, is the only one in the State of Mexico.

She explained that her administration has promoted sports through the creation of the Municipal Institute of Physical Culture and Sports of Tecámac (Imdeporte), which the past administrations had forgotten «We are the seventh most important municipality in the State of Mexico, imagine the indolence with which sports were treated, they didn’t care».

She specified that three percent of the municipal budget is destined to the promotion of sports, which is why the Sierra Hermosa sports pool has been set up, where there are more than two thousand people interested in learning swimming.
