#EstadoDeMéxico.- Nursing personnel are a fundamental part of the health care process, since a doctor cannot be conceived without the support of a professional in this field, which is why it is necessary to strengthen their daily work in order to overcome the various challenges they face.

The Secretary of Health of the State of Mexico, Francisco Fernandez Clamont, highlighted the above during the closing of the Second Academic Nursing Event «Nursing now, decision and strength of the Mexican Nursing», where he emphasized that the importance of their work has been seen in the attention to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He detailed that, since the beginning of the sanitary emergency, they have participated actively and tirelessly, up to the vaccination process, thanks to which the state is in the first place in the country in the application of the different biologicals and, to date, 32.3 million doses have been applied.

The also General Director of the Health Institute of the State of Mexico (ISEM), added that the main challenges facing this branch of medicine are to have new academic institutions, update study programs, open more spaces in the various health institutions, provide job certainty and promote research in this sector to contribute their experience to personnel in other areas.
