AICM and Mexican Airlines agree to temporarily reduce operations during Winter Season / @SCT_mx >>>

#SICT.- Mexico City’s Benito Juarez International Airport (AICM) informs that a recommendation was agreed to temporarily reduce from 61 to 52 operations per hour in saturated schedules (from 07:00 to 22:59) as of the beginning of the winter season on October 31, with the purpose of improving the quality of services to the general public.

This agreement was reached during the Second Extraordinary Session of the AICM Operation and Schedules Committee, headed by Vice Admiral Ret. Carlos Velázquez Tiscareño, in his capacity as chairman, and in which most of the terminal’s airlines participated.

The resolution will be submitted to the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC) for its final approval, and once accepted, it will be communicated to the operators and agencies of this airport.

It should be noted that this measure will be carried out in accordance with the IATA, ACI and WWAC guidelines for managing temporary airport capacity reductions, which state that any schedule reduction must be done in a fair, transparent and non-discriminatory manner by the airport administration and the ACAA schedules coordinator.
