#Edoméx.- The Governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo Del Mazo Maza, assured that the federal government’s program, Internet for all, will allow the most remote communities in the state to have access to this service, and hoped that through this program the State of Mexico will reach a coverage of almost 90 percent before 2027, and bring internet to thousands of families, schools, museums and public spaces.

The above, during the meeting headed by the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, with workers of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), where the details of this federal strategy to bring internet services to the most remote communities in the country were presented.

«Thanks to the program established by Mr. President, this inexpensive and targeted service to the most remote communities, will allow us to aspire to almost 90 percent coverage before 2027. This will allow thousands of families to have internet in their homes, in addition to connecting schools, hospitals, public squares and museums,» said the Governor.

Likewise, Governor Del Mazo commented that at the President’s initiative, the CFE has begun to participate as an Internet service provider, to which, according to INEGI, almost 77 percent of Mexicans have access.
