#GobiernoDeMéxico.- Annual headline inflation in Mexico stopped its upward trend in September at 8.7 percent, a level equivalent to that observed in August by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), highlighted President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

«There is no more inflationary growth. That is very good news for the people, for the people,» he stressed.

In a morning press conference, the chief executive foresaw a gradual decrease in inflation for the following months.

«I hope that going forward the decrease will continue. It has already reached its ceiling, its maximum limit, and it will start to go down; that is my forecast,» he added.
