#Veracruz, #Ver.- Mayoress Patricia Lobeira de Yunes affirmed that the 3 and 5 K «Veracruz, run for them 2022» race, held this Sunday morning at the Macroplaza del Malecón, was a great success.

She said that the Veracruz society responded very well, as more than 500 tickets were sold. «It is a race with a cause and all proceeds will go to the MUAC and Grupo Reto Foundations,» she said.

The mayor stated that this race was organized by the Veracruz City Hall, in the framework of the «International Day for the Fight Against Breast Cancer», and reiterated her commitment to continue supporting and promoting this type of events for the benefit of vulnerable groups.

«I am very happy with the response of the people; what we wanted was for people to come and spend time with their families, with their children, with their husbands and continue to raise awareness among women that we must be checked and take care of our health,» she said.

She emphasized that the positive thing is that in addition to raising awareness among women, it also promotes family coexistence. «It is very important for us as a society to continue fostering this social fabric and I believe that this has been achieved through these activities.»
