IMSS and Government of Hidalgo inaugurate access road to Family Medicine Unit in Mixquiahuala municipality / @zoerobledo @Tu_IMSS >>>

#IMSS.- The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and the Government of Hidalgo, headed by Zoé Robledo and Julio Menchaca Salazar, inaugurated a street with asphalt paving that provides better access to Family Medicine Unit (UMF) No. 26 in the municipality of Mixquiahuala de Juárez, from Avenida Reforma to the unit’s vehicular passageway.

The head of Social Security highlighted the work of the Governor of Hidalgo and the growth of the Institute’s services for the region’s beneficiaries, which was achieved, in this case, with a shared effort with the municipal president of Mixquiahuala, José Ramón Amieva.

He commented that UMF No. 26 opened four days ago and was close to becoming a «white elephant», in August 2020 the progress of the infrastructure was halted at the top of the first wave of COVID-19.

«The logic is to recover the rhythm and today we have a unit that is not the same as the one we replaced, but it is better and it is bigger, it will have six consulting rooms,» he said.

He indicated that during the pandemic, 148,000 people were treated in Hidalgo, around 50,000 required hospitalization and of these, 5,874 did not have social security.
