#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- After the reactivation of the Public Security Academy, which had been abandoned for more than five years, San Miguel de Allende is now once again the state benchmark in security with the graduation of the first generation of municipal police officers.

During the graduation ceremony of the Initial Training Course for Municipal Preventive Police, 38 cadets graduated (24 from San Miguel, 13 from San José Iturbide and one more from Dolores Hidalgo), who became certified municipal police officers by the State Police Training Institute (Infospe), since the San Miguel academy is registered, authorized and validated by the National Public Security System, where each graduate completed their academic preparation, acquired skills and competencies, besides accrediting their control and confidence exam.

The San Miguel police force was reinforced with 24 new municipal police officers, who along with their families, received the support of the municipal president Mauricio Trejo, to defend the peace and tranquility of the population and maintain this municipality as an oasis of security.

«Today we are recovering in San Miguel de Allende that feeling, that the children of San Miguel de Allende say again: When I grow up I want to be a policeman. Because we have had a year of many achievements and we have had a year of great commitment and transparency. We recovered an academy that had not graduated a single cadet for more than five years. You are entering a job that the people of San Miguel will consider you, or the citizens of Guanajuato will consider you, the new heroes.
