#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) informs that services and procedures for the issuance and renewal of federal driver’s licenses by the General Directorate of Federal Motor Transport (DGAF), as well as authorizations, permits, programs and accreditations in civil aeronautics granted by the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC), have been formally resumed.

The above after this federal agency announced the suspension of deadlines and terms in the Official Gazette of the Federation on November 1 of this year, so that, once the cyber incident is contained and under control, it will proceed to the normalization of the procedures.

The new agreement published by the DOF establishes the following determinations:

In matters of federal autotransportation, the procedures related to the issuance and renewal of the federal driver’s license, as well as the procedures for the issuance of federal autotransportation permits, private transportation and its auxiliary services will be resumed at the General Directorate of Federal Autotransportation and at the SICT Centers.

In addition to the above, the validity of federal licenses for federal motor transportation, driver’s training certificates for federal motor transportation, circulation cards and license plates has been extended from October 24, 2022 to December 31, 2022.
