Mayor Santiago Taboada delivers financial support to high performance athletes of Benito Juárez, CDMX / @STaboadaMx @BJAlcaldia >>>
#BenitoJuárez, #CDMX.- In compliance with Mayor Santiago Taboada’s commitment to stimulate, optimize and enhance the growth of the athletes of Benito Juarez, financial support was given to 300 athletes belonging to the representative teams of the district that have distinguished themselves in national and international competitions.
As part of this action called «Avanza Deporte BJ», the beneficiaries, who were selected through transparent calls and clear rules, received 2 thousand 666.66 pesos each, in which, making a budgetary effort, the Mayor’s Office of Benito Juarez allocated 800 thousand pesos.
In this sense, Ivette Graciano, General Director of Social Development of the Mayor’s Office, pointed out that the objective of this action is to recognize the high performance athletes, «that they know that Benito Juarez is their home, the sports teams will seek to have better facilities and, as the Mayor has always said, the public does not have to be at the same level as a private one. We are proud to have you, I recognize that we are two-time champions of the Mexico City Games and this is a reward for your effort and discipline that you have every day preparing yourselves in each of the sports you practice».
Likewise, Alberto Valdéz, Karate Do champion in the CDMX 2021-2022 Sports, Children’s, Youth and Paralympic Games, as well as in the CONADE National Games and first place in the National Selective for the Pan American Youth Championship, indicated that since 2017 that he has been part of the Benito Juárez representative teams he has felt proud of his achievements. «It makes me feel very supported here by Benito Juarez, I think it is very important that they give us this recognition and also that they are supporting us economically to be able to continue with our work. We are always very grateful to them for doing this kind of events to support us and to keep looking for ways to improve everything».
