Cofepris and Issste establish working group for regulatory improvement in medical units in México / @drpedrozenteno @ISSSTE_mx >>>

#ISSSTE.- The Comisión Federal para la Protección contra Riesgos Sanitarios (Cofepris) will provide support for regulatory improvement in medical units of the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (Issste).

In a coordinated manner, Cofepris and Issste establish a work table to address needs in the field of health regulation. Actions of this nature are part of the Mexican Government’s public health transformation.

At a meeting, the federal commissioner, Alejandro Svarch Pérez, and the general director of Issste, Pedro Zenteno Santaella, agreed to start the monthly work tables in January 2023, with the aim of strengthening the medical areas of the hospital units to guarantee that the health services are of better quality, complying with the health regulations dictated by Cofepris.

Svarch Pérez pointed out that through a strategy of training and field work, the goal is to move towards the goal of having all Issste hospitals in green color; through these monthly work tables, 75 hospitals will be prioritized in eight months.
