#EstadoDeMéxico.- During the meeting he had with national, state and regional media, on the occasion of the end of the year, Governor Alfredo Del Mazo Maza emphasized some of the achievements of his administration in the last five years, among them, to provide more protection and attention to women, in addition to promoting actions that allow society to aspire to greater equality and guarantees that allow the women of Mexico to have a life free of violence.

She assured that from the beginning her government has promoted policies focused on empowering and giving more tools to women so that they can develop their potential, an example of this is the Salario Rosa, through which an economic stimulus is granted to housewives, but also offers training alternatives and is a recognition of the effort they put in to move their families forward.

«One of the important things we want to leave as a legacy, as an administration, is the whole agenda of work, support and backing for women. You have experienced it, you have accompanied me, with us, it has been a priority in our Government since we started, we have had a priority agenda of support, of backing, and the great majority of the Government programs are focused, mostly, on supporting women, from social issues, scholarships. We have the great challenge of continuing to combat violence and crime against women, in particular, and to promote equal opportunities», she emphasized.

As part of the state government’s gender agenda, Del Mazo Maza emphasized the strengthening of the state network of support for victims of violence, for which there are shelters, Orange Centers, Positive Masculinities Centers, telephone lines for guidance and assistance, the creation of the Gender Police and the construction of projects such as the Women’s Cities, which will be opened before the end of this six-year term in the municipalities of Amecameca, San Mateo Atenco and La Paz.
