SICT extends the validity of Mexico’s Federal Railroad Licenses until June 30, 2023 / @jorgenunol @SCT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) extended the validity of Federal Railroad Licenses until June 30, 2023; those that have expired may continue to operate.

The decision is effective as of this Thursday, December 22, 2022.

With this, the Federal Railroad Licenses will remain in force without prejudice that their holders may initiate the corresponding revalidation process.

The announcement was made through the «Agreement that amends the different one that establishes the general rules for the implementation of the Federal Digital License in the different modes of transportation of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation».

The purpose is «to provide certainty and legal certainty regarding the validity and legal effects of the federal railroad licenses issued by the Railroad Transportation Regulatory Agency, which are in transition to federal digital railroad licenses».
