#EstadoDeQuintanaRoo.- Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa and the General Director of the Instituto de Salud para el Bienestar (INSABI), Juan Antonio Ferrer Aguilar, supervised three new and emblematic hospitals that will expand services in the south of Quintana Roo.

The tour began at the Hospital de Especialidades (Oncológico) in Chetumal, a hospital unit in which 532 million pesos were invested in construction and equipment; it has a linear accelerator, which is a specialized equipment used to destroy cancerous cells without affecting the surrounding normal tissue.

Governor Mara Lezama informed that the instruction of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador is to return to the nature of the construction of the Specialty Hospital (Oncology) of Chetumal, to attend children and adults who require care, and which responds to the New Agreement for Wellbeing and Development.

She added that this humanist government is working to guarantee the health of all Quintana Roo residents, in order to close inequality gaps and generate shared well-being.

They also visited the site where the construction of the hospital that will replace the General Hospital of Chetumal, which has already reached the end of its useful life, is planned. This new space is part of a complex of medical units called Ciudad Salud.
