The Government of the State of México announces temporary closure of «Zacango» ecological park / @alfredodelmazo @Edomex >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Government of the State of México, through the Secretariats of the Environment (SMA) and Urban Development and Works (Seduo), announced the temporary closure of the «Zacango» Ecological Park, starting January 1, 2023, due to comprehensive maintenance work on its facilities to improve the welfare of the fauna under human care.

The Director of the State Commission of Natural Parks and Fauna (Cepanaf), Napoleón Fillat Ordóñez, said that families will be able to visit it during the current winter vacation period and until December 31st of this year, in its usual schedule, from Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 17:00 hours.

The official indicated that the Park, located in the municipality of Calimaya, is ideal for visitors to get to know and learn about the more than 170 species it houses and enjoy a family outing next to the artificial lake and in the children’s play area.

During the tour, visitors can visit the «Draconis» herpetarium, the «Mares de México» pavilion, and enjoy the «Granjita Zacango» where children can pet, feed and interact with ponies and sheep, among other animals.
