SEP reaffirms Mexican Government’s commitment to achieve educational transformation in Puebla / @Letamaya @SEP_mx >>>

#SEP.- The Secretary of Public Education, Leticia Ramírez Amaya, reaffirmed the commitment of the Mexican Government to achieve educational transformation in the state of Puebla, with the implementation of the priority programs Scholarships for Wellbeing, The School is Ours and Universities for Wellbeing «Benito Juárez García», in the communities and regions with the highest rate of marginalization.

In a meeting with Governor Sergio Salomón Céspedes Peregrina, the Minister of Education emphasized that the dignity of teachers, as well as the permanence and progression of students in the National Education System, are priorities of the Mexican Government in order to consolidate the national project promoted by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

He guaranteed that the processes carried out by the Unidad para la Carrera de las Maestras y los Maestros (Usicamm), and the application of the sector’s public policies, are maintained in the 217 municipalities of the entity during fiscal year 2023, to ensure that more girls, boys and adolescents exercise their right to education.

He affirmed that President López Obrador’s commitment is to allocate more budget to education and that, in 2023, «more resources go to the School is Ours, to the Benito Juárez Scholarships and all their implementation, with a logic of: for the good of all, first the most vulnerable, those who need it most.»
