Miguel Torruco begins working tour in Sonora to strengthen its tourist destinations and detonate regional economy / @TorrucoTurismo @SECTUR_mx >>>

#SECTUR.- Also accompanied by Sonora’s Secretary of Tourism, Célida López Cárdenas, and Roberto Valenzuela, representing the municipal president of Álamos, Víctor Manuel Balderrama, the head of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) visited Álamos where he delivered the updated Magical Town designation, a recognition it has held for 18 years and which it deservedly has for preserving its charm and mysticism.

«What a joy to visit the Magic Town of Alamos, ‘The City of Portals’, of beautiful colonial architecture, with its old mansions, narrow cobblestone alleys, legends and traditions, which take us back to past times and invite tourists to visit every corner,» he said.

With the purpose of strengthening the tourist and urban infrastructure of this town, the authorities of the three orders of government gave the first touch of the program Magical Routes of Color, through the painting of 140 facades in houses, representing a surface of 11 thousand square meters, and 20 artistic murals, with an extension of 600 square meters, rescuing stories, traditions, culture, gastronomy, flora and fauna.

Torruco Marqués pointed out that this program has the invaluable collaboration of the members of their communities, in coordination with Comex and the civil association Corazón Urbano, with whom a strategic alliance has been established.
