#ISSSTE.- The «Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado» (Issste) generates and strengthens the culture of equity, equality and non-discrimination in favor of people with disabilities, through the IncluIssste program, informed the Director General, Pedro Zenteno Santaella.

He pointed out that, in 2022, this program provided 355 talks on the subject and raised awareness among 8,799 public servants and beneficiaries of the 21 insurance policies, services and benefits.

The Subdireccion de Atención al Derechohabiente, headed by Laura Muy Roldán, is responsible for coordinating and carrying out these awareness-raising actions in state and regional representative offices and tertiary care hospitals.

Of the 13.6 million people affiliated to Issste, 6.4 percent have some kind of disability, problem or mental condition. The most frequent type of limitation is walking, climbing or descending, followed by visual and hearing disabilities.
