#GobiernoDeMéxico.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador supervised the implementation of the IMSS Bienestar Health Plan in Zacatecas.

«We are initiating the reconversion, the improvement of the health system and progress has already been made (…) The purpose we have is that before the end of my term in office we will have a quality health system that is free for all (…) Health is not a privilege, it is a right,» he said at the Women’s Hospital in Fresnillo.

Through the IMSS Bienestar Plan, the investment in the state for the purchase of clinical beds, ultrasound scanners, delivery beds, radiant heat cribs, ophthalmology units, among other needs, amounts to 73.8 million pesos.

In actions for the conservation and maintenance of medical and electromechanical equipment, 43.3 million pesos were invested.

The Chief Executive highlighted that at a national level, the purchase of medicines is assured for this and next year; to date, 40 billion pesos have been saved in procurement. Health centers and hospitals are in the process of being rehabilitated and equipped; in addition, the presence of doctors and specialists is being ensured 24 hours a day.
