#IMSS.- The counterpart regulatory coordinator of the Coordination of Occupational Health, Dr. Gabriel Alejandro Real Ornelas, indicated that during 2023, 600 forums will be held to encourage more companies to join ELSSA.

Almost a year after the strategy was launched, 7,326 companies have joined and are implementing the program’s lines of action, benefiting more than 2,500,000 workers.

The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) has a goal for 2023 to hold more than 600 forums on the Safe and Healthy Workplace Environments (ELSSA) program, with a projection of more than 12,000 participants from the business sector, with the aim of incorporating more companies into this strategy and benefiting workers.

The counterpart regulatory coordinator of the Coordination of Occupational Health, Dr. Gabriel Alejandro Real Ornelas, added that through the personnel of the IMSS preventive occupational health and safety services, it is planned to carry out around 47 thousand counseling sessions to generate safe and healthy work environments.

In the framework of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, Dr. Gabriel Alejandro Real indicated that almost a year after the strategy was launched, 7,326 companies have joined the program and are implementing its lines of action, benefiting more than 2,500,000 workers.

«These companies belong mainly to the transformation industry, commerce, business services, domestic workers and the construction industry. Currently, there is a record of more than 6,600 ELSSA badges in the workplaces of member companies; those companies that obtain their badge are those that manage to comply with the good practices recommended in the first five lines of action,» he said.
