#ISSSTE.- As part of the technological modernization of the medical units of the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (Issste), promoted by the Director General, Pedro Zenteno Santaella, the Hospital Clinic in Ciudad Delicias, Chihuahua, received a mobile fluoroscope called a C-arm.

The director of this medical unit, Luis Felipe Chávez Aguirre, highlighted the importance of receiving this tool, as it will provide support to the municipalities of Rosales, Saucillo, Julimes, Meoqui, as well as clinics in Cuauhtémoc, Parral, Jiménez and the General Hospital «Presidente Lázaro Cárdenas» in the state capital.

«We have a population universe of between 32 thousand and 34 thousand rightful claimants, we are the entrance to the south central region and with this equipment we will have the capacity to attend between eight and 10 surgeries per month.»

He informed that on May 8 and 9, staff training is scheduled for the correct use of the C-arm; subsequently, it will be put into operation to continue to reduce the surgical backlog resulting from the pandemic.

With the acquisition of this medical equipment, general surgery, traumatology and orthopedic procedures will be more precise, reducing risks, since it takes images in real time without the need to digitalize them, thus optimizing surgical times.
