Cecut and «La Silla Danza» presented the tenth edition of Cuerpitos / @alefrausto @cultura_mx >>>

#Cultura.- With the objective of being a platform that stimulates the astonishment and curiosity of children’s audiences through dance works inspired, developed and staged for this sector of the population, the Centro Cultural Tijuana (Cecut), an institution of the federal Ministry of Culture, and La Silla Danza held the tenth edition of Cuerpitos as part of the activities of the XXIV Muestra Internacional de Danza/Tijuana Cuerpos en Tránsito (24th International Dance Showcase/Tijuana Bodies in Transit).

It was last Sunday, April 30, in the framework of Children’s Day, that the Federico Campbell Hall hosted the Cuerpitos 2023 Selection program, beginning with Borboleta arte inclusivo as special anniversary guests, in the company of performers from Connectarte multidisciplinary space.

The day began with the Cuerpitos en movimiento workshop, taught by teacher Sandy Rubio of La Silla Danza, where children enjoyed the magic of play and movement. The steps of Atzin from Proyecto Ataranto, IN NO SENSE with Raúl Navarro and Melissa Padilla, as well as Santiago from Proyecto LAN, were part of the program, followed by Paisaje Camaleón by Paola Reyes and Supernumerario, tu amigo el raro by EL CHISTE, Quehaceres Menesteres, which completed the performances presented.

Cuerpitos Muestra de Danza para Público Infantil is an initiative of La Silla Danza that seeks to promote this contemporary expression for children, summoning family audiences to see movement as a language that invites imagination, amazement and the creation of stories.
