Air cargo migration to AIFA progresses / @jorgenunol @SCT_mx >>>

#SICT.- With the recent approval of the reform to the Civil Aviation Law, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation, we are getting closer and closer to recovering Category 1 in international air safety, so we must be ready to take advantage of the renewed momentum that our air transportation, both cargo and passengers, will register, said the Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT), Jorge Nuño Lara.

During the signing of the Lease Agreement for the Estafeta Carga Aérea National Cargo Warehouse at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), Nuño Lara said that this company has become an example to follow for companies that need to complete their procedures and obtain certifications to migrate their cargo activity from the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to the AIFA.

The head of the SICT commented that both Estafeta and the rest of the cargo companies will have access to better conditions and opportunities to store and transport cargo, since the AIFA will be consolidated as a global logistics platform, as it will have greater capacity in the fiscal route and efficiency in air and ground operations; in addition, the airport tariffs of the AIFA -landing, parking and overnight stay- are lower than the average of the country’s airports.

He added that this migration is a win-win action, it was not easy but we did it, so all the companies involved have in the SICT an ally to work in a coordinated manner and achieve an orderly migration and with the best possible costs.
