Aviation Safety Audit Completed / @jorgenunol @SCT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT) reports that this Friday concluded the International Aviation Safety Assessment Audit (IASA) with the presence of 7 inspectors from the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States (FAA). The aforementioned with the purpose of Mexico regaining Category 1 in terms of aviation safety.

The visit of the U.S. authorities took place throughout this week at the facilities of the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (FAA), where Mexican officials answered 316 questions from the U.S. experts, mainly related to air safety, airworthiness, legislation, procedures and human and financial resources.

It will now be up to the FAA to officially issue a final report on the results of this audit in the following weeks, for which reason Mexican authorities are awaiting the aforementioned report.
