San Miguel de Allende’s municipal civil protection council ready for rainy season / @MauricioTrejoP @GobMunicipalSMA >>>

#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- As an action of prevention and risk mitigation before the 2023 rainy season and tropical cyclones, the Permanent Commission of the Municipal Council of Civil Protection was installed in San Miguel de Allende.

During the 3rd ordinary session of said municipal council, the Official Declaration was made symbolizing the activation of the entire strategic and operational force of the Municipal Administration, coordinated by the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC), before any contingency that may arise during this season and put the population of San Miguel de Allende at risk.

«This means to be prepared and ready for any type of contingency that may arise due to the rains. There is already a Contingency Plan, there are some natural risk points that due to hydrological and geographical issues are identified and, based on these risks, these previsions or some interventions are taken» expressed the Secretary of Citizen Security, Gabriel Yáñez.

This prevention strategy, headed by President Mauricio Trejo, involves all the departments of the Municipal Administration, not only those dedicated to security; it also generates coordination with the citizens of San Miguel, to contribute to risk mitigation in the event of any emergency.
