#BocaDelRío, #Ver.- In the framework of the Freedom of Expression Day, the Mayor of Boca del Río, Juan Manuel Unánue Abascal, led the annual presentation of awards to journalists of the State of Veracruz.

The Mayor welcomed all the members of the Association of Independent Journalists of the State of Veracruz to the Municipal Palace, highlighting their commitment and informative work, a reference for all of Veracruz.

«The right to express and disseminate, seek, receive and share information and ideas without fear or interference is essential for our society, to develop as people and to help our communities,» stressed the Mayor.

Unánue Abascal emphasized that his government has implemented an open-door policy in which all programs and actions are transparent, allowing the population to actively participate in the dynamics of government.

He shared that in the municipal administration it is clear that a government can give better results if it is able to listen attentively to what happens outside the Municipal Palace, and this is how it is being achieved.

In front of the journalism professionals, he thanked the accompaniment and constructive criticism of the media as part of the dynamics of the journalistic exercise, in which feedback is necessary to achieve more from the municipal responsibility.
