#GobiernoDeMéxico.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador stated that the collection of the Treasury would be affected if the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) approves a project of Minister Luis María Aguilar Morales in favor of Gustavo Cárdenas Fuentes, legal representative of Obses de México S.A. DE C.V., a company linked to Genaro García Luna, former Secretary of Public Security during Felipe Calderón’s six-year term.

«There is a case that is very important to us. I take this opportunity to call on the ministers of the Court because today they are going to rule on a tax issue that if they do not review it thoroughly and rule by influence, by conspiracy, they will damage the Public Treasury,» he said in a morning press conference.

The President indicated that the information on this case is available to the people because the Mexican Government does not allow corruption nor does it cover up for anyone.

The matter to be resolved this Wednesday in the SCJN arose when the Tax Administration Service (SAT) reviewed in 2016 the accounts of Cárdenas Fuentes, who was part of a criminal organization formed by his nephew Luis Cárdenas Palomino, former director of Regional Security of the former Federal Police, and García Luna.

He collaborated so that Cárdenas Palomino received resources in 2017 from the company Adamantium Private Services, coming from Nunvav Technologies Inc, a company employed by García Luna that sent resources to the United States. Through this scheme, a total amount of 745.9 million dollars was diverted.
