#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- This weekend, Mayoress Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante presented the prizes for the second edition of the «My Dad Taught Me» contest, where she recognized the work of parents in the progress of the municipality of Tecámac. The mayoress expressed that her administration has been characterized by the work without distinction, inclusive and efficient in favor of all, which is not only to pave streets or rehabilitate public spaces, but also to pay attention to the development needs that all human beings deserve.
Before the 30 finalists, he pointed out that the contest values the work of parents who give comfort, support and care for their children, which is a fundamental part of the development of the municipality.
In his speech, Carlos Galindo Bertaud, director of DIF Tecámac, said that in Tecámac, 125 thousand fathers live, of which 5 thousand are single parents, so it is important to recognize the work they play within families.
She explained that in this second edition of the contest «My Dad Taught Me» 101 fathers participated in three categories where they had more than 10 thousand reactions on the Facebook page of the administration, since the theme of fatherhood sensitizes and moves the Tecámac society.
The three categories in which the contestants participated were Papás Jr., Super Papás and Grandes Héroes; the first place in each category was awarded a double trip to the city of Mérida all expenses paid, departing from the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA).
Second place in each category was awarded 4,000 pesos; third place 3,000 pesos; fourth and fifth place 2,000 and 1,000 pesos respectively.
To recognize the effort and enthusiasm of the participating parents, the municipal president, Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante, awarded the other 15 finalists with an economic prize «Everyone is a winner here», she said.
The jury was made up of Valeria Olivares Balleza, Director of Education; Hugo Otilio Delgadillo Mejía, Head of Social Communication; Jorge Monroy, Director of Culture; Carlos Axel Galindo, Head of Water Culture; and Evelyn Fabiola, photography teacher at the Center for Integral Attention to Sexual Diversity.
