#EstadoDeMéxico.- Governor Alfredo Del Mazo Maza delivered the renovation of the González Arratia Square, as part of the intervention that his administration is promoting to improve the Historic Center of the city of Toluca, as well as to provide green areas for the families of Mexico City to enjoy and relax.

«There was this González Arratia Square, which is an emblematic space of this capital, located next to the Portales, the State Cathedral, next to the Judiciary, and which also hosts many cultural events,» he said.

«And now, we are delivering this historic renovation of the González Arratia Plaza, forming a new cultural-tourist corridor of green and recreational areas, throughout the center of the capital, this space in addition to having playgrounds, as you see here on one side, the kiosk, green areas, gardens and also the outdoor theater, which is behind us, was made an exhibition gallery to highlight most of the Mexican artists,» he added.

Accompanied by the Secretaries of Culture and Tourism and Urban Development and Works, Ivett Tinoco García and Rafael Díaz Leal Barrueta, respectively, as well as the Mayor of Toluca, Raymundo Martínez Carbajal, and the President of the Patronato Pro Centro Histórico de Toluca AC, Verónica Valdés González, Governor Alfredo Del Mazo recalled that five years ago the project to modernize and renovate the Historic Center of the capital of Mexico City began, an urban program that has no precedent in the last 40 years in the state.

He explained that it began with the delivery of the Fundadores Science Park, on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Foundation of the city of Toluca, where the Cosmovitral was also renovated and the Planetarium was built.
