Exhibition «The Color of Life: Frida Kahlo» at the Royal Łazienki Palace in Warsaw / @aliciabarcena @SRE_mx >>>

#SRE.- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the Ministry of Culture, through the Embassy of Mexico in Poland and the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (INBAL), present the exhibition «Color of Life: Frida Kahlo», which opened on July 6, 2023 at the Łazienki Royal Palace in Warsaw. This exhibition is the central project of the commemorative program of the 95th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Poland.

The exhibition consists of the presentation of three original works by this great Mexican artist: «Los cocos» (1951), «Naturaleza muerta con sandías» (1953) and «Mi vestido cuelga ahí» (1933). The first two works belong to the Acervo INBAL-Museo de Arte Moderno Collection of the INBAL Museum Network, and the third is part of the FEMSA Collection.

Complementary to the display of original pieces, the reproduction of some iconic architectural elements of the Coyoacán Blue House Garden in the gardens of the Łazienki Palace stands out, recreating a particularly Mexican atmosphere for visitors.

Likewise, thanks to the support of the General Subdirectorate of Artistic Heritage of INBAL, through the National Coordination of Visual Arts, the photographic exhibition «Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera: Biographical Records» belonging to the Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo House-Studio Museum will be presented, which will bring the Polish public closer to the daily life of the renowned couple of creators.
