#EstadoDeMéxico.- Recognizing on behalf of the Governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo Del Mazo Maza, the solidarity participation to preserve the identity of the entity, Luis Felipe Puente Espinosa, Secretary General of Government, declared installed the Awards Council of the «State of Mexico» 2023 Award, to formally start with the activities for the delivery of this award.

The State of Mexico Award, he said, is the highest public recognition conferred by the entity to those people, individually or collectively considered, who deserve it for their conduct, acts or relevant works, for the benefit of humanity, the country, the entity or the community.

On behalf of the State Governor, the Secretary General of Government said he was sure that the members of this Council will comply and enforce the provisions and powers of their duties as stated in the Regulations of Civil Merit of the State of Mexico.

«The Governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo Del Mazo Maza, recognizes their support and solidarity to preserve the state identity and urges them to participate with enthusiasm in this honorable task, to publicly recognize the women and men of our entity, whose work or acts constitute an example for all,» he said.

For his part, the Secretary of Education, Gerardo Monroy Serrano, emphasized that the proposal for the «State of Mexico» Award 2023, contemplates the 15 denominations, in accordance with the provisions of Article 5 of the Regulations of Civil Merit of the State of Mexico.

In terms of the aforementioned regulations, the members of this Award Council are Luis Felipe Puente Espinosa, Secretary General of Government, who acts as President; and as Secretary of the Council, Gerardo Monroy Serrano, Secretary of Education.
