Zinacantepec-Lerma section of the Mexico-Toluca Interurban Train to operate in September: SICT / @jorgenunol @SCT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Interurban Train Mexico-Toluca (TIMT) is in the final phase of construction and next September will be able to operate the Zinacantepec-Lerma section, informed Manuel Eduardo Gómez Parra, General Director of Railway and Multimodal Development of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT).

In the presence of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Jorge Nuño Lara, head of the SICT, the official said that the four-station section is virtually completed and is in the pre-operational testing stage, which will be carried out until August 31 of this year.

In a conference held at the National Palace, Gómez Parra explained that Sections I and II are 100% completed, which cover a total length of 41 kilometers (km); likewise, he added, Section V, which corresponds to workshops and depots, is 100% completed.

The México-Toluca Interurban Train is a project long awaited by the citizens of both the Valley of Mexico and the Valley of Toluca, as it will quickly and efficiently connect the State of Mexico with Mexico City.
