#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- With a budget of more than 150 million pesos and 31 years after its creation, the Decentralized Public Organization for the Provision of Drinking Water, Sewerage and Sanitation Services (ODAPAS) has consolidated its position as one of the best in the State of Mexico, strengthening Tecámac’s water infrastructure.

The director of the agency, Samuel Hernández Cruz, mentioned that this has been achieved by implementing a set of policies and good practices based on the efficient use of funds, with which potable water service is provided 90 percent of the year, that is, almost every day.

He highlighted that in the last 12 months, ODAPAS has executed 75 works, among which are the commissioning of two new wells and the monumental works, the Xolox-Reyes collector, of more than 3.7 kilometers and the one located on the Ojo de Agua Boulevard with a length of 4.4 kilometers.

Also, the potable water and drainage system has been improved with more than 30 kilometers of piping, which means that if we draw a straight line from Mexico City to Tecámac, the pipe used would be enough.

He stressed that as instructed by the municipal president, Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante, when administered efficiently and not stealing, the budget is used to implement various programs for the benefit of the population, so 5 thousand users have established payment agreements, provided their confidence and regularized their situation with the agency.

He mentioned that ODAPAS, works with a vision so that the next generations can count on the vital liquid, and to thank the trust of the users exercising the resources with honesty and efficiency at the service of the people so that Tecámac is consolidated as a great place to live with welfare and development for all.
