#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- Following the strategy set by municipal president Mauricio Trejo to promote sports among children and young people, a clinic was held with Mexican soccer legends.

With the realization of this first Soccer Clinic in charge of former professional players led by goalkeeper Adolfo Rios, the mayor continues to promote San Miguel’s promising soccer players.

Present at the José María «Capi» Correa Téllez municipal stadium, Mauricio Trejo reiterated his commitment to more than 150 children and young people from San Miguel by bringing a day of soccer practices in search of improving their qualities and thus, forming a San Miguel soccer team.

«The joke is that they enjoy a lot, but learn a lot. This is a sport for girls, for young girls, for boys, for young boys, so learn and learn a lot, but above all learn how they behave on and off the field. Give it your all,» said the mayor of San Miguel regarding the importance of the integral development of children and young people through soccer.

In this sports session, the Public Administration invited all the children and youth leagues of the municipality, achieving a participation of more than 150 boys and girls of different ages, who put into practice their qualities and at the same time, perfected their technique.

Former professional soccer players Adolfo Ríos, Héctor Reynoso, Joel «Tiburón» Sánchez and Camilo Romero, Mexican soccer legends, came to share their learning and experiences with the young people.

Adolfo Ríos thanked the municipality for the trust it has placed in him for holding these sessions: «And if we are here it has to do with only one thing, with the integrity of the people who put this project together, if we did not believe in the people we would not be here and just as I thank «Tibu» (José Sánchez), Camilo (Romero), (Héctor) Reynoso who trust me, because we have trusted the president of San Miguel de Allende (Mauricio Trejo) who is taking firm steps and we hope logically to see him as what he is worth: as a person, and what he achieves later will be a blessing, but today we hope to see him for what he is worth: as a person».
